Soft Core History: First Manassas DP E176
Wednesday Sep 26, 2018
Wednesday Sep 26, 2018
After Fort Sumter, Lincoln raised an army of 75,000 volunteers - for a 90 day stint. This was seen as an agreesive act by the southern states (like, firing on Fort Sumter wasn't?). Virginia left the union, along with several other slave states. With a large rebel army less than 35 miles from the nation's capital and with the 90 days running out, Lincoln could no longer wait. He sent a large army toward the critical spot called Manassas Junction (Paul thinks we went to high school with her). The outcome was less than he had hoped. Told from the standpoint of a resident of Washington, D.C., this is a story of uncertainty and rude awakenings.
The first official installment in our series of shorter, more focussed episodes. We hop you enjoy it and we hope you share with your friends.

Why Black Lightning? DP E175 with Tony Isabella
Wednesday Sep 19, 2018
Wednesday Sep 19, 2018
Think you know Tony Isabella? The beginning of his life long love of comics, his first job, his time with Stan Lee, what inspired him to create woke comics, and more. That's right, the guy who created Black Lightning gave us an hour of his time recently, and Steve and Paul took full advantage of it. Learn everything you need to know about the man, the myth, the legend, including how a four year old's attempt to outsmart his parents lead to a decades-long career in comics. All this and more is on this very special episode.

LIVE! Will it Beer? DP E174 post-Tony Isabella wind-down
Friday Sep 14, 2018
Friday Sep 14, 2018
This is the edited version of the Facebook Live we did last Saturday - after our talk with Tony Isabella at the Hall of Heroes in Elkhart. In case you missed the FB Live...
Paul and Steve spent about a half hour going on about how cool Tony Isabella is. Steve sounds like he's in a tin can because Steve didn't bring the right microphones for a post-interview debrief. Sorry about that. I hope you still enjoy Steve's fanboy freak-out.
Also this week, the announcement of our experimental format change.
We wrapped it up with a Good Mythical Morning inspired semgent - Will it Beer? Cringe with us as we try Jim Beam Barrel Aged Budweiser, Aldi Flavored Pale Ale, and beer-soaked Cheesy Jalapeno Cornbread. Find out if any, all, or none of these Will Beer.
