Steve and Paul are sick of Hackronyms. Acronyms that hacks use just to seem smarter. Actually, Steve and Paul are sick of people who use Hackronyms. STEM set Steve off on a "what's wrong with education" rant. As a result, the Question of the Day was "Favorite movie about school? Go!"

DP E106 - Super Fan James and Nintendo Switch

Hear your name on the Radio!! Steve and Paul start out talking about an accidental virus and they name names of friends' favorite books (and talk about their own). As they are about to move on, they get a call from Super Fan James, who sticks around for Irresponsible Headline Interpretation. SFJ gives Steve and Paul an update on the state of gaming (actually, he gives them a basic lesson in gaming consoles). Turns out the Nintendo Switch is kind of a big deal. Of course, Steve never lets a week go by without immitating Donald Trump and talking about the future.

Ever heard your name on the radio? This is one to listen to if you answered our DP Poll Question of the Day. Tune in to find out if you're now famous. Paul and Steve muse about the possibility of going back in time and meeting your earlierst Hollywood Crush. They celebrate Dan Carlin's newest episode and bemoan Lore's popularity. Steve recounts his near-death scooter experience and Paul has some advice for how to behave around bearded ladies. And this is all before the Headlines segment.

What did people listen to when they were kids? This week we start out talking about bands that our fans liked as kids. Paul and Steve talked about their answers: Cash and ZZ Top. Then they did some irresponsible headlines about Turkey, 17 intelligence agencies, CIA testing psychics, and wrecking Michelle Obama like the Edmund Fitzgerald. The guys discuss the recent passing of Carrie Fisher and its impact on boys their age. Then, 18 minutes in, Steve congratulates Paul on his Comics Alternative appearances and the upcoming release of Paul's and Jim McLain's web comic, Poe and the Mysteriads, in January. DP S2-E49 - 100th Episode

Paul and Steve started this little experiment almost 2 years and 100 episodes ago. Including the Pilot, that's 101 episodes in 103 weeks. They just do not take time off. They are commited to the show, to each other, and to their listeners. In this season 2 finale, the guys reflect on what has made the show better and what keeps them coming back week after week. When they run out of ways to pat each other on the back, they discuss some other nonsense - like always. In the beginning they said we were just playing around to see how long this would last. Now that they have 100 episodes in the can, there is no foreseeable end to the Don't Panic Radio Show! See you for episodes 101 through ???
